Founded in 2002 by Boston-based, nonprofit Partners HealthCare System, the Center for Information Technology Leadership (CITL) is an academic research organization focused on assessing the impacts and costs of health information technologies. With knowledge and insight from our research, CITL serves healthcare:
- professionals in evaluating information technologies that save lives, improve outcomes, eliminate waste, and advance medical practice;
- policy makers in defining and enacting policies that lead to widespread adoption of valuable health information technologies.
In addition, CITL strives to help anyone, anywhere make evidence-based decisions on adopting and using the most effective health information technologies. We are a nonprofit organization primarily supported by grants and contracts from federal and state sources and private foundations. Partners HealthCare System provides sustaining funding.
